The Youngest in the Country!
Civil Services final result –2007 is now out. Our Scholar Madhusmita Sahoo, has qualified for Central Govt. group A Services.
The girl from Talbarkot a remote village in Dhenkanal District was helpless and hopeless for her higher studies though she got 9th position in the IA Exams . when she was spotted by Late Sri Sadashiv Mohanty, FFE Facilitator and referred her name to Sri S.C.Choudhury, IRS, Chairman, Vikash Educational Charitable Trust. . Since then there was no looking back. Her study was financed from FFE and Vikash Scholarships.She was groomed under the able guidance of Sri Choudhury who arranged Scholarship for her from FFE and Mrs. Uma Sagi of Visakhapatnam . She completed B.A. in Dhenkanal College and became topper in her College securing in Economics Honours. In 2006 she took admission in M.A.(Economics) in Utkal University and is also a topper in Vth year . She will appear her final M.A. exams this June-July.
In 2006, there was rush for filling up forms for OAS examinations which had been just advertised. Though Madhusmita was eager to apply for OAS, but she was under age. She appeared her debut IAS prelims exams in 2007 and got qualified, appeared the Mains in October 07 and also qualified. Then came the final Interview for Personality Test at UPSC, New Delhi on 11th April. Her journey to New Delhi accompanied by VECT Program Manager Sri L.N.Das, her stay in Delhi for 15 days and Viva Voce Coaching for 6 days at RAU’S IAS Study Circle was arranged by Sri S.C.Choudhury with assistance from Mrs Uma Sagi, Vizag,.Others who helped in many ways are Dinabandhu Nanda, Bhubaneswar, B.Brahma and Anupam Choudhury, New Delhi.
Madhu has qualified for the Central Govt. Group -A services.
Though Madhu will join the Group- A services, she is again appearing IAS-2008 exams with increased enthusiasm. We hope and pray, she will make it to the highest post in her second attempt. She is profusely thankful to all those who helped specially Vikash, FFE and Uma Sagi. Many Vikash scholars are already aspiring for Civil Services.- A good Beacon for many !
